Mother-Daughter Owned & Operated

My name is Debra Crotty. I wasn't born into the profession. I believe it was my calling. I worked my way through mortuary school as a cosmetologist at JCPenny in Temple. One day I walked into Sheffield Funeral Home to inquire about doing some cosmetology services and I knew I wanted to be in that profession. I graduated Dallas Funeral Institute in 1996. I was a single parent and my daughter Jarrah was only six at the time. My first job as a funeral director and embalmer was at Harper-Talasek in Temple.

I was privileged to work with Mr. Talasek himself. Over the course of my career I have managed several funeral homes for SCI (Service Corporation International) including Crawford-Bowers, Sheffield Funeral Home, Condra Funeral Home in Taylor, and Goodnight in Bartlett. I left SCI and managed Waco Memorial Funeral Home, Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights, and Killeen Memorial. My daughter Jarrah has followed in her mothers' footsteps as well and graduated from Dallas Funeral Institute in 2010. I decided I had worked for enough of corporations and taken the good from each one and decided to open my own funeral Home. We opened Crotty Funeral Funeral Home & Cremation Services in November 2011 and we provide families with dignified services at affordable prices.
