William David Waugh

William ""David"" Waugh was born on June 25, 1948 to JD and Elsie Waugh in Fairbanks, AK. He was an Army brat and lived all over but most of his childhood was spent in Johnson City. He graduated from Waco high school then joined the Army Reserves and retired honorably. He met the love of his life Debbie Foster and married her on June 20, 1970. They had two children Dennis, and Vanessa. David worked as a truck driver hauling propane for Smith & Smith out of Killeen for over seventeen years. David enjoyed working on cars, fishing reels, and tinkering in the garage. He loved fishing, coaching his kids in little league, going to his grandchildren's sporting games, and playing dominos (42). William ""David"" Waugh, 72 of Temple passed away on October 5, 2020 at a local hospital. Funeral services for David will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Crotty Funeral Home with a viewing held two hours prior from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. Burial will follow at Sandy Cemetery in Johnson City. He is preceded in death by his parents, JD Waugh in 1984 and Elsie Waugh in 1987, with both their funerals being held on Labor Day. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Debbie Waugh of Temple; his son, Dennis Waugh and wife, Stefanie; his daughter, Vanessa Cole and husband, Jeff of Kentucky; his brother, John Dennis Waugh and wife, Karen of Coricana; his sisters, Carol Koch of Temple, Suzie Davidson of Temple, and Karin Edwards, and husband Monte of Hempstead; his six grandchildren, Brandon, Heather, Jaiden, Whyatt, Isabella, and Tyler, and two great grandchildren, Isaac and Forrest.
