William Robert Stineman, affectionately known as Bill, age 62, of Killeen, passed away on October 18, 2023, in Killeen, Texas.

Bill was born on September 25, 1961, in Muncie, Indiana to James and Shirley Stineman. He graduated high school and joined the military. Bill had a remarkable military career that spanned over fifteen years. He served in the U.S. Army with honor and distinction before retiring as an esteemed veteran. His unwavering dedication to protecting his country was evident throughout his service. The bravery displayed by Bill during his time in the army earned him the respect and admiration of his peers. Bill also worked as a networking engineer for many years after his service.

Apart from his successful career, Bill cherished the role of being a father above anything else. He had five children who meant the world to him: Kristopher Stineman, Cody Stineman, Brandon Stineman, Stephanie Simmons, and Micaiah Stineman. In their upbringing, Bill instilled the values of perseverance and respect that have become an integral part of their character and they blessed him with nine grandchildren.

One of Bill's greatest joys was his love for sports led them to share memorable moments while attending University of Texas football games with his son.

While Bill often kept to himself, he possessed an innate ability to connect with others on a deeper level. Behind his quiet stern demeanor lay a warm heart that the ones closest to him were blessed with.

In addition to his children and grandchildren, Bill is survived by his brothers, David Stineman and James "Jimmy" Stineman, and sisters Christy Hasseld, Linda Hong, Cathy Jessee, and Heidi Stineman. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, James and Shirley Stineman, as well as his sister, Cheryl Kerrigan.

A visitation will be held on October 27, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services located at 5431 U.S. Hwy 190 in Belton, Texas. This will be an opportunity for friends and extended family to pay their respects to the beloved William Robert Stineman.

A memorial service will take place on October 30, 2023, at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 3:00 PM. The address of the cemetery is 11463 TX-195. During this solemn gathering, we will honor Bill's unwavering commitment to serving his country and celebrate the profound impact he had on our lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a veterans' organization of your choice in memory of William Robert Stineman. Let us remember him not with sorrow but with gratitude for a life well-lived and a love that will forever endure.
