Wesley Dale Pullin, 70, of Harker Heights formerly of Slidell, LA passed away on September 18, 2024 at his residence.
A celebration of life will be held on November 16, 2024 in Beaumont TX. Please contact his wife Robin at robin.gruber@gmail.com if you are planning on attending.
Wesley experienced his early childhood in Iran and Boliva but considered his home towns as Woodville and Beaumont, TX
He attended Forest Park High School before graduating in 1980 from the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK. Wesley's first employment was at Pumpkin Airlines before he began his successful career with Chevron that spanned over 28 years. During his employment he supported the oil fields by working in the helicopter hangars and shops providing transport for offshore crews. He also worked in 1995. as a part-time duty officer at the St. Tammany Sheriff's department
Wesley was captivated by military history, especially World War II and had a collection of models, books and other memorabilia . His hobbies included fishing, radio- controlled modeling, motorcycles, biking and nascar.. Wesley was an animal whisperer especially with his parrot Gumby..
He will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Robin and stepsons, Kenny and Kevin Gruber who affectionately called him Papa; one brother, Ronnie Pullin and wife Linda; Aunt, Mary Kuykendall Fontenot and numerous friends he considered family.
