Wanda "Sue" LaRocque

December 9, 1944 — November 27, 2021

Wanda “Sue” LaRocque, 76, of Belton passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at a local hospital.

A visitation for Sue will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. to 7: 00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Belton. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. At Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Her burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.  The family will have a meal at the Belton VFW following services.

Sue was born December 9, 1944, to Frankie and Cynthia Ward in Belton. She was one of nine children. Sue was always such a loving person. She loved being a mother, Nana, and great grandmother. Sue Enjoyed cooking and recently when her health didn’t allow her to cook anymore, she became quite the food critic.  She collected doves, hummingbirds, and loved the color yellow. On a good day you would find Sue sitting at her table enjoying a Miller Light and a cigarette. She instilled all her best qualities in her children, and she has created quite a legacy. Sue was the matriarch of her family. She taught them everything except how to live without her.  

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Ray” LaRocque. Her family said, “he has been resting in peace for several years, but not now that Momma’s there with him.” Sue is also preceded in death by her son, Dennis Dean LaRocque, her brothers, and her sisters.   

 

Sue is survived by her children, Lynda Treece of Copperas Cove, James “Roho” Edward LaRocque of Morgan’s Point Resort, Jennifer Taylor of Belton, her grandchildren, Lyndsey Turner of Temple, Kandyce Thompson of Owl Creek, Mysty Tanner of Buckholts, Andy Joe Taylor Jr., Aaron Dean Taylor, Megan Ryanne LaRocque, and Ashley Raylynn Taylor, all of Belton, seven great grandchildren, and numerous cherished family members and friends.  

 

Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
