Walter ""Doc"" Maurice Truelove, 70, of Belton passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 in a local hospital. Walter was born to Harlan and Gladys Truelove on November 21, 1948 in Pecos, Texas. He married his wife Christine Ortega on February 26, 1970 in Seminole, Texas. He earned an associate's degree in business, and worked for Wilsonart as a dispatcher. He enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, barbequing, hunting, and woodworking. Walter was also fond of cars, Harley Davidsons, knives, and guns, but most of all, he loved having cookouts and game nights with his family. A memorial service for Walter will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home of Belton with Brother Thurman Hollands officiating. Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Rogers and ""Shorty"" Bernard Harold Hibbs, and his brothers Frank Sturgeon and Dewayne Hibbs. Walter is survived by his wife, Christine Truelove; his sons Kevin Truelove and wife Henritta Truelove of Belton, and Mark Truelove and wife Heather Truelove of Moody; his daughters Sabra and husband Kenneth Golding of Arkansas Pass, and Theresa Truelove of Belton; his brother John Sturgeon of San Angelo; his sister Mona Simpson of Dallas; his thirteen grandchildren, and his one great grandchild.
