Vona Denise Cheek

Vona "Denise" Cheek, 55, of Temple passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 in the comfort of her home. Denise was born to Wanda and Raymond Cheek on April 27, 1965 in Waco, Texas. She was a retired executive chef. Denise loved to cook and was very passionate about food. She was always there for others and was very kind. Her grandbabies and her "girls", also known as her dogs, were her life. Denise is survived by her mother, Wanda Cheek; her sons, Fred Bandy III of Longview and Kevin Bandy of Temple; her daughter, Dani Bowker and husband Matthew of Temple; her sisters, Sharon Cheek of Moody, Vickie Roberts-Cheek of Manvel, and Carol "Renee" Cheek of Holland; her four grandbabies; and thirty-one foster grandbabies over the last five years. Denise is preceded in death by her brother, James Cheek; and her father, Raymond Cheek. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
