Vergie Virginia Moore Jr.

Vergie Virginia Moore Jr., 75, of Belton passed away on Friday July 18, 2014 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday July 21, 2014 at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton with Reverend Arthur Washburn officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00P.M. - 7:00P.M. Sunday July 20, 2014 at Crotty Funeral Home. Vergie Virginia Moore Jr. was born on May 5, 1939 in Belton, Texas to Virgie and Mary Smith Moore. He married Marie Mayes on April 3, 1978 and she preceded him in death on December 14, 2012. He worked as a long haul truck driving and retired in 2009. Survivors are one son, Ricky Wayne Moore of LaMesa, TX.; three brothers, John Moore, Weldon Moore both of Belton and Noel Moore of Troy; three sisters, Beatrice Pendergraft of Belton, Nora Nieto and Brenda Moore both of Belton; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Preceded in death by one son, Bobby Newton Moore on June 23, 2013. Crotty Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements.
