Truth Jeanine Robertson

Truth Jeanine Robertson, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on December 23, 2024, in Temple, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on March 10, 1948, in Spokane, Washington, the daughter of Everett and Josephine Culbertson. 

A proud graduate of Lewis Clark High School, she further pursued her education by earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Science from American Tech University. In her early years, Truth served her country honorably in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968 as a Nurse, where she was awarded the National Defense Service Medal—a testament to her courage and commitment.

For nearly three decades, Truth dedicated herself to the service of others as the Deputy Director of Adult Probation for Bell and Lampasas County from 1982 to 2010. Her career was not just a job; it was a passion that reflected her deep-seated belief in the potential for change and rehabilitation within individuals. She was also a devoted Meals on Wheels volunteer for ten years. She not only delivered meals, she was very dedicated to helping people and making a special connection with each one of them. 

Truth's spirit was brightened by the simple joys of life. She found happiness in taking long walks, and she took delight in bird and squirrel watching. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, relishing the moments that defined her life. Her greatest pride came from her children and grandchildren, a legacy that will continue to thrive through them. 

Truth is survived by her daughter, Laurel Dawn Roberts and her husband Marty; a sister, Sabiha Weitz, along with three loving grandchildren: Nicole Baker and her husband Colton; Hannah Tolbert; and Devin McHale, who is married to Elizabeth. She was a proud great-grandmother to four wonderful children: Mildred Baker, Aurora McHale, Memphis McHale, and Eleanor Baker.

Truth was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Everett and Josephine Culbertson, and a cherished daughter, Jennifer Michelle McHale.

A visitation will take place on December 30, 2024, at Faith Baptist Church in Temple, Texas, from 1 PM to 2 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 2 PM officiated by Sam Calloway. 

Truth Jeanine Robertson will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kind heart, strength, and the warmth she brought into this world.
