Trey Alston Short

Trey Alston Short,loving son,brother, and dad, 29, of Temple passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 due to injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident. Trey was born July 18, 1987 to Rick and Stacey Short. Trey was a resident of Bell County his entire life. He graduated from Temple High School and worked as a plumber. Trey's dad always described him as ""Fun Loving"". He lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed the feel of the open road. Trey loved being a father and spending time with his family and friends. Trey had a smile and laugh that would brighten your day. He will be dearly missed by so many. He was preceded in death by his Mimi, Beverly Miller; uncle, Mallory Miller, and great-grandmother, June Alston. Trey is survived by his parents, Rick and Stacey Short of Temple; his sister, Lexie Short; four children, Ryleigh Short, Trey Short Jr., Lauren Huerta, and Ariana Reyna; great- grandfather, J.C. Alston, several relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Cliff Golder, Ben Golder, Michael Shive, Javier Mena, Greg Wolf, Carlos Rodriguez, Dustin Carpenter and David Gallion. There will be a visitation from 9: 00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. followed by a second visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. to allow time for all friends and family to be able to attend at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Troy with Pastor Jackie Cox officiating. A meal for friends and family will be held prior to funeral services at 11:30 A.M. in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church of Troy.
