Tommy R. Pope

Thomas ""Tommy"" R. Pope, 61, of Temple passed away on Monday October 5, 2015 at his residence. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 9, 2015 at First Christian Church in Temple with Dr. Don Lynn officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Thomas ""Tommy"" R. Pope was born on July 14, 1954 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Thomas E. and Patsy DeCamp Pope. He married Cecil Ann McDonald on March 19, 1983 at the First Christian Church of Temple. He was employed by Crestview RV of Georgetown, TX. He worked in RV repair most of his adult life. He loved fishing, coaching Little League, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Tommy loved football and was a member of the Temple Wildcat Quarterback Club. He was also a member of the Seaton SPJST Lodge #47. He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon R. Pope, on August 04, 1985. Survivors are his loving wife, Cecil Pope of Temple; parents, Thomas E. and Patsy Pope of Temple; two sons, Matt Pope of Temple and Ben and wife Mercedes Pope of Tulsa, Ok.; one daughter, Sarah Pope of Temple; one sister, Tammy and husband Ray Belk of Nolanville; one grandson, Lucas Pope of Tulsa, Ok. Crotty Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Burial will be at Bellwood Memorial Park. Post a tribute to www.crottyfh.com.
