Timothy "Tim" Ryan Michael

Timothy Ryan Michael (“Tim”), 63, of Salado passed away on May 16, 2022 at his residence. 

A memorial service will be held on June 3, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at First Cedar Valley Baptist Church in Salado. The service will be officiated by Pastor Donnie Jackson, and a private family burial of his urn will be held shortly after at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Salado.

Tim was born on December 24, 1958 to Lois and Robert Michael in Detroit, MI. He was creative and artistic, and he enjoyed hiking, camping, and swimming. He also specialized in martial arts, tracking and other survival techniques. Tim ultimately loved the outdoors. Being outside was always a spiritual, almost enlightening experience for him - to be one with nature was life-giving to say the least. He served in the U.S. Marines and he worked in the construction field for many years, but throughout his life, he worked with all kinds of animals - especially dogs. In recent years, Tim found a job he truly enjoyed at The Dog Spot located in Salado, which is also where he ended up adopting his beloved German Shepherd named “Boo". 

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Michael.

Tim is survived by his son, Daniel Logan Michael of Salado, TX; his sister, Colleen Freese of Tecumseh, MI; his mother, Lois Betteley of Onekama, MI; and numerous other family members and friends across the world.
