Thur Lee Runyon Jr.

Thur Lee Runyon Jr., 65, of Temple passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 in a local Temple hospital. Thur was born to Mamie and Thur Runyon Sr. on August 1, 1954 in Temple, Texas. He worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and retired in 2019. Thur loved to landscape and grill. He enjoyed a variety of music genres. He especially loved to spend time with his family and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Crotty Funeral Home. A funeral service for Thur will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be a private family service. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ruthie Runyon. Thur is survived by his wife, Vickie Runyon of Temple; his sons, Retius Runyon of Mansfield and Detrict Clark of Temple; his daughter, Sandy Smith of Temple; his brother, Steven Runyon of Troy; his sister, Roslayn Gamble of Tulsa, OK; his two grandchildren; his three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished family members.
