Thomas Twomey, a dedicated servant of the United States Army and a beloved father, son, brother and friend, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Harker Heights, Texas. Thomas was born on April 7, 1955, in Germany and spent his life exemplifying the values of service, honor, integrity and commitment.
Thomas had a distinguished military career, serving in the Army for 26 years. His dedication and contributions were recognized through numerous awards and decorations, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and the Army Superior Unit Award. He also received the Army Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. His commitment to professional development was reflected in his Noncommissioned Officer's Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 3, alongside the Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon. An accomplished marksman, Thomas earned both the Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar and the Expert Marksmanship Badge with Pistol and Small Bore Bar. He was also a holder of the Air Assault Badge, showcasing his dedication and skills throughout his service.
Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas Twomey, and his wife Simi of Houston; two sisters, Audrey Southerland and JoAnn Twomey; two brothers, Roger Twomey and Richard Twomey; and his mother, Erika Twomey.
He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Twomey, Jr.
The legacy Thomas leaves behind is one of unwavering dedication to both his country and his family.
His contributions to the military and the love he shared with his family will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
