He was an exceptionally talented artist. He could draw anything and loved making things for his family. He was a great uncle to all his many nieces and nephews. You could always count on him to make you laugh. He was the family snake catcher! He was a wonderful man and would give you the shirt off his back. He was a faithful, life-long Dr. Pepper drinker. Uncle Tommy/ Dooley’s loss has left a hole in our family that will never be filled. We love and miss you and we always will.

He leaves behind his wife, Anna Mohler McAdoo of Temple; his two children, Tom Spurlock of Temple and Kristen McAdoo of Cedar Falls, IA, two stepsons; Michael Ellis of Texas and Nick Sheridan of Florida, his twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild, four brothers; Maxie McAdoo Sr. of Austin, Paul Shannon of Killeen, Robert McAdoo of Lumberton, TX, and John McAdoo of Killeen, three sisters; Margaret Baker of Evant, Tina Williams of Evant, and Dorma Slaten of San Antonio.
