Thomas "Bear" Hugh Kempf, 67, of Belton passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 in a local nursing home. Bear was born to Wanda and Dean Kempf on April 25, 1954 in South Bend, Indiana. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Thomas went on to work as a truck driver for many years.
A graveside service for Bear will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Bear is survived by his wife of 19 years, Donna Kempf of Belton; his step-son, Clarence Bailey of Belton; his daughter, Tammy Kempf of Belton; his step-daughters, Terrie Furgal of Bourbonnais, Il and Crystal Hughling of Belton; his sister, Cindy LaBoeuf and husband Ray of Belle Plaine, KS; numerous adored grandchildren; and his one great-grandchild.
Bear is preceded in death by both parents; and his son, Christopher Kempf.
Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
