Thomas William Gray

Thomas W. Gray, 60, of Belton passed away on Wednesday November 15, 2017. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Crotty Funeral Home of Belton. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Killeen City Cemetery. Thomas was born on November 9, 1957 to Robert and Elizabeth "Betty" (Janke) Gray in Cincinnati, Ohio. He served twenty one and a half years in the U.S. Army as an Aircraft Tech and retired honorably. He also retired from DynCorp in 2010. Thomas married Patricia "Trish" Bernier on November 5, 1979 in Belton. He enjoyed working outdoors, geneology, Aircrafts of any kind, tinkering, model cars and planes, and woodworking. Thomas loved being a Papa spending time with his grandchildren and getting into mischief with his best friend Willy Bailey Jr. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Belton, the Audie Murphy Club, and the VFW in Harker Heights. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lynn Hueberger and Angela "Angie" Rutherford. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of over 37 years, Patricia "Trish" L. (Bernier) Gray of Belton; his son, Julian Norman Gray of San Antonio; his daughter, Cathy Gray of Nolanville; his brother Robert"Bob"Gray and wife, Cynthia of Waynesville, Ohio; his step sister, Teresa ""Terry" Hibbard of Cincinnati, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Belton or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
