Terry Anthony Cossairt, 58, of Harker Heights passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 in the comfort of his home. Terry was born on April 13, 1962 to Barbara and Norman Cossairt in Sacramento, California. He married his wife, Kathy McCain, on September 1, 1989. He spent twelve years in the United States Army, including one tour in Korea, two tours in Germany, and fought in Iraq in the first Gulf War. He was a very proud American and soldier. Terry loved God, country, family, fishing and a good barbeque. Terry was medically discharged from the Army in 1993 with the Gulf War Syndrome. He desperately wanted to return to his unit and complete the mission. Terry had been very ill for many years but never gave up. He fought with the strength of 10 men. He will be forever missed. A private burial will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Funeral honors will be held at a later date after COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Terry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathy Cossairt; his three children, Kristina CherIe, Daniel Ryan and Anthony Carlton; and his adored seven grandchildren.
