Susy Garris

Susy Joan Garris was born May 23, 1977, in Ahoskie, North Carolina to Curtis Lee Garris Sr. and Gladys Moreno.

She attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, New Jersey. When she was 23, Susy moved to Texas, where she was later accompanied by her mother. Susy worked as a security guard until a work accident left her unable to work. In 2005, Susy suffered a stroke and soon after was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She received medical care and lived with her mother while she battled with MS for over 18 years. Susy fought to the end and received her angel wings on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Susy was a wonderful mother, daughter, and friend. She enjoyed fashion, the color pink, and music. You could always catch her singing a song or out getting her nails done. Susy strived to be caring and compassionate to others. She had a great sense of humor and was a positive light to all who knew her. 

She is survived by her children James (and Lkeisha) Garris of Killeen, TX, Angela Earl of Camden, NJ, parents Curtis Garris Se. of Ahoskie, NC and Gladys Moreno of Killeen, TX, siblings Curtis (and Jennifer) Garris Jr of Killeen, TX, Angel (and Geena) Rocero of Austin, TX, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
