Sue Carolyn McDonald, 88, of Temple passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020 in a local nursing home. Sue was born on June 8, 1931 in Temple, Texas to Hal and Cecil Berry. She worked as a medical administrative assistant at Santa Fe Hospital in Temple for many years. She enjoyed doing ceramics; knitting, crocheting, and sewing; watching sports; watching her grandkids play sports; and going to church. Sue was known to have a lead foot. She also liked to get her hands dirty, mowing her own lawn on her wedding day with rollers in her hair, and once she even changed her headlight with a butter knife. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the family will be holding private services. There will be a public viewing on Friday, April 24, 2020 from 1:00 P.M to 6:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home with a maximum of 10 people at a time. Sue is survived by her daughters, Deborah Sue Schoen of Killeen, Bennie Kay Bragewitz of Temple, and Cecil Ann Pope of Temple; her five grandsons; her two granddaughters; and her nine great grandchildren. Sue is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benjamin ""Benny"" McDonald who passed in 1963; her brother, Hal R. Berry; and her grandson Brandon Russell Pope.
