Steven Edward Sechriest, a devoted family man and esteemed Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024 at Seton Medical Center at the age of 69.
Born May 31, 1954 in Corona, CA, he enlisted in the Navy in 1975 and dedicated over two decades of his life in service to his country. Rising through the ranks, Steve retired in 1996 as a Senior Chief, leaving behind a legacy of honor and commitment to duty. He was a true Texas man at heart and after traveling the world ultimately returned home to the Lone Star state.
Beyond his military service, Steve was cherished as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was best known for his wisdom, sense of humor, and unwavering support for his Dallas Cowboys. Steve's memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends, a beacon of strength and love.
Steve was preceded in death by his father Vernard Sechriest, his mother Peggy Williamson, and his Step Father Carl Williamson.
He is survived by his wife Charmaine Sechriest, his son Lee Sechriest, his daughters Tracie Brandana and Kristen Stringer, his step children Courtney Nichols, Tim Clayton, and Todd Clayton, and 9 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation in honor of Steve's memory.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
