Sheryl Jo Stout, age 69, of Kempner, a sassy and beautiful woman with a heart of gold, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, in Temple, Texas. Born on January 12, 1955, in Orlando, Florida, Sheryl brought light and laughter to those around her throughout her cherished life.
Sheryl was a loving mom and wife, qualities that she embodied every day. She dedicated herself to her family, creating countless memories that will be forever treasured. Family time meant everything to her, and she took great pride in her role as a mother, grandmother, and wife. Her daughters, Shallan Pletcher of Copperas Cove, Diane Rux, and Crystal Baker from West Virginia, were blessed to have her as a guiding force in their lives. Additionally, her legacy lives on through her adoring grandchildren: Josh, Hayley, Justin, Trevor, Caleb, ShiAnne, and Brayden, as well as her great-grandchildren, Violet, Colton, and another precious addition on the way.
Those who knew Sheryl were touched by her vibrant personality and playful spirit. She had a knack for giving her husband, Bruce Dempsie Stout of Kempner, a hard time, which was all part of the love they shared. Together, they enjoyed riding motorcycles, cooking, engaging in crafts, and embarking on delightful cruises. Their bond was an inspiration, defined by the laughter and joy they shared together.
Sheryl's strengths extended beyond her immediate family. She is survived by her siblings, including Carolyn Brinkman, Walter McPherson, Brenda McQueen, Patty Johnson, Connie Miller, and Douglas McPherson. Each of them was a significant part of her life, adding to her rich tapestry of family ties.
Sadly, Sheryl was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Shayna Baker, and her in-laws, Jack and Peggy Stout, along with her parents, Carroll and Wanda McPherson. Their absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, but the warmth of her spirit and the memories she created will forever resonate within those she touched.
