Sherri Dois Wahlberg, 57, passed away on March 27, 2020 in Cookeville, Tennessee. Sherri was born on August 23, 1962 in Belton, Texas. She was the daughter of Butch Drake and Carolyn Roop. Sherri grew up in the Bell county area, but later in life moved to Burnet Tx which is where she truly called home. She was most known for her kind heart and contagious smile. She spent most of her life working in sales, but said her favorite job was being a mom and raising her daughter Ashley. Sherri cared for everyone and never met a stranger. She impacted everyone's lives that she had a relationship with and always went out of her way to make sure everyone she loved knew just how much. You were truly blessed if you were able to call her your friend. Sherri loved to spend time with her family and friends. Whether it be playing games or just sitting around visiting for hours on end. She also loved to play backgammon with her husband Rick and would always get so excited when she would beat him. She was a huge animal lover! Especially dogs, she always treated all of her dogs like one of her children and spoiled them rotten. Sherri's biggest accomplishment in life was being an amazing mom and took great pride in her daughter. Not a day went by that she didn't tell Ashley how much she loved her and how proud she was of the woman she has grown up to be. There is nothing in the world that will ever fill the void in her loved ones hearts that she has left behind. They only find solace in knowing that one day they will be reunited with her in the kingdom of Heaven. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. A memorial service for Sherri will begin at 4:00 PM with Pastor Tim Denton officiating. Sherri was preceded in death by her father Butch Drake. She is survived by her daughter Ashley Evans and Son in Law Brandon Evans of Belton Tx, her husband Rick Meeks of Cookeville TN, Step mother Anita Aguirre of Augusta Georgia, her brother Tom Drake of Savannah Georgia, her brother David Drake of Burnet Tx, her brother Scott Whitis of Belton Tx, and her sister Lisa Richardson of Hewitt Tx; along with her four nieces, four nephews, her beloved dog Prudence and grand dog Elizabeth Taylor.
