Sheila Kay (Duncan) Kilgore, 68, of Belton passed away on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple following a brief illness. Sheila attended public schools at various locations including New Mexico and Texas. She worked in cosmetology for several years, following licensure in Texas, after which she decided to diversify and later operated a profitable contracting business, where her acquired Spanish language skills served to be useful.
Sheila was an avid reader, a lover of language, and enjoyed writing poetry. She could fix anything “mechanical”. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her stark truthfulness, her many kind acts, her big beautiful eyes, her loving spirit, and she especially loved her little K9 companion, Cha-chi.
Sheila was a Christian and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She was baptized in 2017. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving Sheila are her daughter Rene and husband John Rockholt of Belton, her aunt Margaret Eddleman of Belton, and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peggy (White) and Walter Nollie Duncan and her former husband Gene Kilgore.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for immediate family at Stag Creek Cemetery, near Comanche, Texas.
Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton, Texas.
