Selma Withers

Selma Withers, 72, of Harker Heights passed away on November 25, 2015 at a Harker Heights nursing home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00P.M. Friday December 11, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Killeen with Father Chris Downey officiating. Her body was cremated. Selma was born on December 25, 1942 in Killeen to Tony and Sophia Tomkivits Hyman. She married James Withers on September 23, 1962 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2011. Selma worked for Sprint in operator services from April 12, 1967 until her retirement in May 14, 1999. She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church and the Red Hat Club Association. Survivors are one sister-in-law Louise Hyman of Richland Springs, TX; one niece Janet Hyman of Little Elm, TX.; one nephew Lynn Hyman of Hobbs, NM. ; numerous nieces and nephews. Inurnment will take place at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery following services. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Killeen or charity of choice.
