Sandra Kay Hargrove

In loving memory of Sandra Kay Hargrove (McBroom), a devoted mother cherished grandmother, and skilled esthetician, who peacefully passed away on March 25, 2024, in Temple, Texas. Sandy was born on April 4, 1943, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Herschel and Mary McBroom. She touched the lives of many through her career as an esthetician, where she shared
her passion for skincare with those around her.

Those who knew Sandy remember her as a loving individual whose family held the most significant place in her heart. She found joy in caring for her house plants, taking evening walks at Belton lake, and creating a warm and welcoming environment for her loved ones. Her root beer floats, big scoops of ice cream, and willingness to play any sort of game the grandkids could cook up will live forever in their hearts. She enjoyed adventure and the great state of Texas, and made time to enjoy family trips with her grandchildren in many areas throughout the state. Sandy was also a regular at the local dance halls, and adored all of her boot scootin’ companions.

Sandy is survived by her son, Gary Hargrove of Gladewater, Texas; daughter, Shelly Banning of Wichita, Kansas; brother Gary Don McBroom of South Carolina; grandchildren, Travis Hargrove of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Tim Just of Florida, Katy Banning of Wichita, Kansas, and Christy Marvin and her husband Jon of Wichita, Kansas; as well as her great-grandchildren, Cooper Hargrove,
Emma Marvin and her fiancé Andrew Hetrick, River Marvin, Arie Marvin and Georgia Marvin. She was preceded in death by her parents Herschel Earl and Mary Emma McCraw McBroom; her grandson, Tyler Hargrove and her beloved Yorkie companion "Toto."

Sandy will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace knowing that her love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she left behind.
