Ruth Piatt

Ruth Hazel (Clark) Piatt, 88, of Salado passed away on Thursday , July 12 at her residence. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Her body was cremated. Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements. Ruth was born on October 22, 1923 in Mattoon, IL. The youngest Child to Samuel E. and Edna Marie (Flynn) Clark. Ruth married Carl Eugene Piatt on November 22, 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1994. They were married for 57 years and had five children. Survivors are two sons, (Billy) Carl and wife Charlene of Alabama and Robert (Bob) Eugene and wife Peggy of Salado; one daughter, Priscilla (Penny) Elane Allen and husband Tim of Alabama; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dorothy Hutton Odell, Lavernia Merrick and Goldie Shortle; Oldest daughter, Patricia (Pat) Jean Waters and youngest son, Carl Eugene Piatt Jr. Ruth Lived a happy eventful life with many personal accomplishments and has touched so many lives and brightened them all with her radiant smile To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Ruth Piatt please visit our Sympathy Store.
