Roger Lee Teeters, 73, of Copperas Cove passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 in a local hospital. Roger was born to Iola Walker and Jesse Teeters on November 1, 1947 in Georgetown, Ohio. He served his country in the United States Army, being deployed in Vietnam and earning 3 Purple Hearts, and later worked for Mobil Chemical. He enjoyed cooking and playing Bingo. Roger was a member of many lodges: American Legion Post 133 in Temple, American Legion Post 55 in Belton, VFW Post 4008 in Belton, VFW Post 1820 in Temple, and VFW Post 8577 in Copperas Cove.
A visitation for Roger will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple with Pastor Paul Meredith officiating.
Roger is survived by his wife, Melissa Teeters of Copperas Cove; his sons, Wes Teeters of Temple and Tony Gillispie of Copperas Cove; his daughters, Jeanetta Roman of Heidenheimer, Tammy Dean of Copperas Cove, and Corita Teeters of Troy; his brothers, Eugene Teeters of Florida, John Teeters of North Carolina, and Charlie Teeters of Indiana; his sister, Iola Wolford of Idaho; his twelve grandchildren; and his nine great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
