Robert (Bob) E. Piatt, Sr. led a remarkable life filled with entrepreneurial spirit, family, and adventure. Born on April 23, 1953, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, to Carl and Ruth Piatt, Bob grew up surrounded by hard work and ambition. Despite the passing of his siblings Patricia (Pat) Waters and Carl E. Piatt, Jr., he found strength and support in his surviving siblings: Penny Allen and her husband Tim & Billy Piatt and his wife Charlene.
Bob's journey led him to Salado, Texas, where he found both love and success. His marriage to Peggy Piatt on November 25, 1995, marked the beginning of a beautiful union, blending their families into one.
As a business owner and leader, Bob left an indelible mark on the community of Salado through his company, Cap-A-Bus, Inc. His expertise and dedication helped the business flourish, earning recognition for its quality and innovation. Bob's entrepreneurial spirit also led him to venture into various industries, from feed mills to fitness centers, always driven by his passion for creating and building.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Bob cherished his family above all else. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he shared his love for cars, travel, and adventure with them. Bob's zest for life was infectious, and his ability to make everyone feel special with his stories and music left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife, Peggy Piatt; daughters, Brigette Brantley, Heather Piatt and Chalsee Brannam and her husband David; his sons, Robert Piatt Jr. and his wife Becky and Justin Brantley and his wife Christi; his grandchildren, Samantha Yeager-Cheevers and her husband Preston, Brigette Wiedenfeld and her husband Christian, Rachael and her husband Taylor Lindholm, Averie, Owen, Kallin, Tatum, Steffey, Chaznee and her fiancé Ty,Chanysee, Jesse, Jaylee, and Jerzee; his great-grandchildren, Everett, Austin and Gabby, Audrey and Blair his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3C Cowboy Fellowship on April 28, 2024, at 3 pm, providing an opportunity for family and friends to honor Bob's memory.Though Bob may have passed on, his legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the memories he created. His spirit of resilience, creativity, and love will continue to inspire generations to come.
