Rita Carol Bartlett

Rita Carol Bartlett, 65, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at her residence. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Funeral services for Rita will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 9, 2017 at Crotty Funeral Home of Belton with Pastor Jason Harris officiating. Cremation will take place following services. Rita was born on May 27, 1952 to Troy and Caroline Messer in Bell County Texas. She took care of her family as a homemaker most of her life and served in the United States Army. Rita married her beloved husband, David Allen Bartlett on November 20, 1990 in Belton. Rita enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading books, and westerns. She loved her dog, Lady and spending time with her family. Rita was known for beig very kind, patient, and never raised her voice. Rita is preceded in death by her father, Troy Messer and her son, Jason David Scott. Rita is survived by her husband, David Allen Bartlett of Temple; her mother, Caroline Messer; her son, Aubrey Ray Scott Jr. of Belton; sisters, Pansy Basinger of Temple; Oma Fay Vander Bogart of Buckholtz; Judy Hunter of Burmington, WA; and three grandchildren.
