Richard ""Dick"" Stringfellow

Richard ""Dick"" Stringfellow, 79, of Killeen, Texas, passed away on September 14, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on September 23, 2016 at Central Texas State Veteran's Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Chris Rice of First Baptist Church Killeen will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Dick was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 13, 1937. He graduated from Chaminade Julienne High School and was an engineer with TRW Globe Motors for 33 years. He most enjoyed being known as the ""Dog Biscuit Man"" at Five Rivers MetroParks in Ohio where he retired to Texas in 2008. Dick was proud to be a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and also Knight of the York Cross of Honor. Dick is survived by a sister, Mary Swank of West Carrolton, Ohio and two sons, Paul Stringfellow (Angie) of Belton, Texas and Tim Stringfellow (Neha) of Springboro, Ohio. He had four grandchildren: Alyssa, Brittany, Cayden and Destin of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Julia (Sheerin) Stringfellow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Killeen Animal Shelter at 3118 Commerce Dr, Killeen, TX 76543. The family wishes to thank Brookdale Meridian of Temple and Stoney Brook of Belton for their kindness and care shown to Dick in his final months.
