Richard Lee Meloon Sr.

Richard Lee Meloon, Sr., 78, of Killeen passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the 3C Cowboy Church in Salado with Pastor Brian Miller officiating. Richard was born on March 13, 1939 to Edgar and Sabra Meloon in Terre Haute, Indiana. Richard served in the Navy for many years and married Sandra Le DeMay on January 19, 1980. Richard worked as a U.S. Air Customer Service Agent for over thirty years. He loved NASCAR, baseball, Dairy Queen and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents; his son, Richard Lee Meloon,Jr.; his sister, Jean Knoll ; and his grandson, Loren W. Bowen. Richard is survived by his loving wife Sandra Meloon of Killeen; three sons, Kevin Lynn Meloon of Terre Haute, IN., H. Eugene Smith Jr. of Eagle, ID, Matthew Meloon, Sr. of Nolanville; his four daughters, Diana Ulrey of Halton City, TX, Crystal Lindley, Susan Smith of Halton City; Lisa McNeil of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Dennis Meloon of Toney, Alabama, Glenn Meloon of Terre Haute, IN; twenty two grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; several loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
