Richard Gerald Amyx, 68, of Holland passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services for Richard will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 3C Cowboy Fellowship in Salado with Pastor John Swedlund officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Following services his body will be cremated. Richard was born on August 30, 1950 to Jim and Senora Hill in Richmond, IN. He served honorably in the U.S. Army for several years. He worked as a mechanic most of his life and also as an HVAC Technician. Richard enjoyed playing guitar, piano, and computer games. He loved to tell jokes, draw, and spend time with his family. He loved the Lord and was an ordained minister. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his mother Senora Arvin; his son, Johnny Amyx; his brother, Randy Amyx, and his sister, Rhonda Amyx. He is survived by his sons, Josh Amyx of Midlothian, Richard Martin of Fort Worth, and Chris Martin of Maryland; his daughters, Elizabeth ""Beth"" Sheperd, Melissa Amyx, both of Fort Worth, Amberly Amyx of Livington, and Amanda Amyx of Holland; his sisters, Carla Cambell of Mesquite and Angie Arvin of Richmond, IN; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
