Rena Lee Simmons

Rena Lee Simmons, 70, of Waco passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at a local nursing home. Rena was born in November 9, 1946 to Levi and Ella (Irene) Bush in Midland, Texas. She graduated from Temple College with a degree in Nursing and worked as a Nurse most of her life. Rena enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time with her family. She did not have children of her own, but was like a mother to many. Family was very dear to Rena and she will be dearly missed. Rena is survived by three girls and three boys who are truly like her own children, Renee and Ryan Deters of Belton, Melisa and Phil Wessels of Belton, and Michelle Luck and Robby Gilbert of San Marcos,Jacky and Darlene Foutz of Belton, Joe and Robin Foutz of Belton, and Eugene and Rachael Foutz of Temple; five brothers, Jayson and Sue Bush of Oklahoma, Mark and Linda Bush of Arlington, Owen and Debbie Bush of Orange Grove, Curtis Bush, and Sidney Bush, both of Belton; one sister, Emmah and Robert Hunt of Temple, and many more cherished nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Matt Bush and a sister, Vera Foutz. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Lakeview Baptist Church in Belton with Pastor Albert Gregg officiating.
