Raymond Ruiz

Raymond Ruiz, 83, of Belton passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in his home. Raymond was born to Raul Ruiz and Natividad Balderas in Hutto on October 11, 1935. He spent his days working as a brick mason. Raymond was also an ordained minister for over 40 years and his passion was mission work and bringing people to Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raul and Natividad Ruiz, his siblings; Margaret Alavarado, Alejandro Alavarado, Benjamin Alavarado, Manuel Ruiz, Amelia Salazar, Maria Elena Pena, Maria Ortega, and his son Ricardo Antonio Ruiz. Raymond is survived by his wife of 57 years, Josephine Ruiz; his daughter Margarita Aragon; his sons Robert Ruiz and Abel Ruiz and wife Paula Ruiz; his grandchildren Amanda Seawright of Temple, Jessica White of Gatesville, Kaley Ruiz of Temple, Joseph Aragon, Nathaniel Aragon, Philip Aragon, and Gabriel Aragon of Temple, Samuel Ruiz and Isabelle Ruiz of Cedar Park; his great grandchildren Dylan Bourland of Temple, Brantley White of Gatesville, and Layla James of Temple; and his siblings Salamon Ruiz of Indiana, Jose Ruiz of Georgetown, Lydia Calderon of Temple, Margarita Alavarado of Pflugerville, and Amparo Ruiz of Temple. Visitation will be held at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Crotty Funeral Home of Belton. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Crotty Funeral Home with Chaplain Bruce Mercer officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.
