Ramona Roberts

Ramona Adell Roberts, 79, of Gatesville died Sunday, February 12, 2023, at a Belton nursing home.

Graveside service will be 2 PM Wednesday February 15, 2023, at North Belton Cemetery with Pastor Paul Alexander officiating.

Ramona was born on December 5, 1943, to Louis Phillip and Lena Adell (Sims) Morisset in Killeen, Texas. She married Oscar Reid Roberts on September 17, 1960, in Bell County, Texas, he preceded her in death in 2000. Ramona graduated from Belton High School and later received her bachelor’s degree from Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton. Ramona was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to crochet, cook and bake, she was even a finalist in the Pillsbury Bake off contest.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar Reid Roberts; two sons, William “Willie” Reid Roberts and Oscar Phillip Roberts; a brother, William Terry Tyroch; a sister, Dora Louise Dossey and a grandson, Benjamin Edward Brown.

Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Warren and husband Marshall of Troy and Lisa Roberts of Gatesville; two brothers, Mike Webster of Belton and Phillip Morisset of Galveston; two sisters, Vela Linkinhoker of Moody and Deborah Faucett of Rogers; six grandchildren, Kandis, Leon, Bobby, Lisa, Jessica and Jeremey; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.

Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
