Perry Rose

Perry Wayne Rose, 69, of Temple, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

Private services for Perry will be held at a later date.

Perry was born on June 28, 1953, to Jerry A. and Peggy Ann (Walker) Rose in Powderly, Kentucky. Perry worked as a truck driver for many years. He served in the United States Army receiving many decorations including a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Army Service Ribbon and an Overseas Service Ribbon. Family meant the most to Perry, he loved being a father and grandfather. Perry enjoyed leather work, drinking a cold Coke, and was a sponsor and active member of AA.

He is preceded by his parents.

Perry is survived by three sons, Bryan Metcalf of Killeen, TX, Stanley Rose of Utah and Jason Metcalf of Utah; a daughter, Terry Rose; a brother, Jerry Rose of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Justin, Elisabeth and Joshua. Perry is also survived by many cherished family members, and friends.
