Monica Lynn Gillespie ,56, of Harker Heights passed away on September 30, 2017 at a local hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Miller Heights Baptist Church of Belton with Pastor Michael Meadows officiating. After services refreshments will be held in the Church fellowship Hall. Monica was born on November 17,1960 in Majorca Spain to Monty and Audrey Gillespie. Monica was known for working at McDonald's in Temple and Belton for many years. She was the ""Drive Thru Queen"" and even gave gifts to her regular customers. Monica sold Avon for many years as well and was very outgoing. She enjoyed watching movies, reading, shopping, and watching her son's MMA fights. Monica loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by the community. She is preceded in death by her parents, Monty and Audrey Gillespie. Monica is survived by her two sons, Ty Ashcraft of Conroe, and Brian Velasquez of Wichita Falls; her three sisters, Melody Kranz of Ridgefield, WA, Kim Gillespie of Montana, and Angkhana Oh Rash of San Antonio; her stepmother, Sopa Phillips of San Antonio; and many other cherished relatives. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that you make donations to Villalobos Rescue Center which is Monica's favorite charity.
