Michael Aaron Meade Sr.

June 15, 1971 — October 23, 2024

Michael Aaron Meade Sr. was born on June 15, 1971, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a man who devoted most of his life to the craft of cooking, always bringing warmth and nourishment to those around him. His journey came to a close on October 23, 2024, in Temple, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and support.

His family and his Church will be hosting a celebration of his life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Impact Church in Temple.

Throughout his life, Michael exemplified the true meaning of hard work and dedication. He not only a cook by trade but a provider who found joy in the simple moments spent with family and friends. Michael had an extraordinary ability to be supportive, even in his own trying times. His humor could light up any room, and he was known for his knack for making jokes that brought smiles to faces young and old. His love for his family was profound; he loved hard and always made sure they knew it.

Michael took immense pride in being Native American and cherishing his family above all. He is remembered fondly for the special bond he shared with his son, Michael Aaron Meade Jr. and his wife, Frances, whom he coached during his younger years. His daughter, Crystal Meade, along with her fiance, Andy, brought him great joy and served as another pillar of pride in his life.

Michael cherished his role as a grandfather, spending treasured moments with Clarabell Meade, Michael Meade III, Aubriella Meade, Isabella Ratliff, and Annabell Bethune, Gema Sutton, as well as eagerly anticipating the arrival of another grandchild.

He is survived by his parents, John and Judy Brady of Salado, who nurtured him with love throughout his life; the mother of his children, Billie Sue Taylor of Little River Academy; his brother, Michael Brady and his wife Shelly of Corpus Christi; and his sister, Retta Brady Bedenbaugh of Alamogordo, New Mexico. Michael leaves behind numerous cherished family members and friends who will deeply feel his absence.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Meade, and grandson Mose Meade, who surely welcomes him with open arms in the next chapter.

Michael Aaron Meade Sr. was a unique soul who touched the lives of so many. His legacy of laughter, love, and hard work will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. He will be missed dearly, but his spirit will live on in the memories and stories shared by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
