Matthew James Clark, 46, of Killeen passed away at his residence on Monday, February 7, 2022.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services followed by a funeral service with Military Honors at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor H.K. Ballard officiating.
Matt James Clark, the only son of Don Clark and Cynthia Cheda was born in Tucson, Arizona on December 30, 1975. Matt joined the U.S. Army in 1994 and was very proud to serve his country. He retired honorably after service 25 years. Matt enjoyed cooking, with a specialty for Barbecue. He planned on attending the Culinary Academy. Matt also liked fast cars, fishing, with an affinity for spearfishing. He and his fishing partner had many adventures in the waters of Oahu. He was well-liked and respected by both his peers and subordinates. Matt was a loving and caring father and husband. He enjoyed family days soaking up the sunshine at Bellows Beach. Matt enjoyed taking his 64 Chevelle to car shows in Hawaii with his son Isaiah riding with him. He enjoyed teaching Isaiah how to play the guitar and watching him play football. Matthew always rocked the boat and did things his way. Matt will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his son, Isaiah Clark of Tucson, AZ; his father, Don Clark and stepmother, Kimberly of Buhl, Idaho; his mother, Cynthia Cheda and stepfather, Lee Roy of Petaluma, CA ; his two sisters, Angela Clark, Christina Van De Veer, both of Novato, CA., many cherished family members, friends, and fellow brothers in arms.
