Matilde ""Matt"" Ramos

Matilde ""Matt"" Ramos, 93, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in a local nursing home. Matt was born to Julia and Catarino Ramos on March 14, 1926 in Chriesman, Texas. Matt was a proud U.S. Army veteran who fought for his country during World War II. Matt worked for several different jobs, including housekeeping and being a foreman at a picture frame company. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Everyone could always find Matt eating pecans, and also find a trail of pecans anywhere Matt went. He was a loving father, grandpa, and great grandpa. A visitation for Matt will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. A rosary service will be held following the visitation from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple. Matt is survived by his sons, Martin Ramos, John Ramos, and Andrew ""Andy"" Ramos, all of Temple; his daughters, Addy Weaver of Temple, Susan Baker of North Carolina, and Tina Houston of Temple; his six grandchildren; and his three great grandchildren.
