Mary Guajardo

Mary Guajardo, 90, of Belton passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at her residence. Mary was born on September 25, 1926 to Daniel and Silveria Martinez in Hearne. Mary was a homemaker most of her life and worked in nutrition at a local school for many years. She loved quilting, crocheting, going to bingo, listening to polka music, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons Sam Guajardo of Belton, Guadalupe Guajardo of Belton, Isabel Guajardo of Lubbock; her daughter, Rosa Linda Barrientos of Belton; her brother, Joe Dan Martinez of Temple; her sister, Sarah Blanco Abernathy; fourteen grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren, and twenty nine great-great grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Silveria Martinez; her husband, Angel Guajardo and her son, Daniel Guajardo. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. followed by a rosary from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home of Belton. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 25 at 10:30 A.M. at Christ the King Catholic Church of Belton with Father John Kim Officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
