Marvin Joseph Yarnell, 78, of Belton passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 in the comfort of his home. Marvin was born to Julia and Donald Yarnell on July 8, 1941 in Bellflower, California. Marvin was a United States Marine Corps and Army veteran, and after retiring from the military, spent his days working as a truck driver. He was a music lover of all genres, and could be found downloading music on his computer most days. Marvin also enjoyed reading, bowling, and riding his motorcycle. A military honors service will be held for Marvin on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Marvin is survived by his wife Jeanie Yarnell; his son, William Yarnell of Belton; his daughter, Shelley Doyle of Temple; his half-sister, Judy Dishaw of California; his five grandchildren, William Yarnell Jr., Sallie Lou Yarnell, Cody Doyle, Catherine Doyle, Corri Chase, and his great granddaughter Paige; his stepsons Greg Von Hagel and David Austin, both of Belton; and his step grandchildren David J. and Angelica Renee. Marvin is preceded in death by his daughter, Darla Sue Costa; his brother, Don Yarnell; and his grandson Zane. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
