Mark Warren Carnes, 68, a dedicated father and grandfather, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, in Temple.
Mark was born on August 27, 1955, in Fort Worth to DeWitt and Gladys Carnes. Throughout his life, Mark touched the hearts of many with his kind and loving personality. He cherished fun times with his family and was especially proud of his children. Mark graduated from North Richland Hills High School and pursued further learning at Tarrant Community College and Temple Junior College, where he obtained an Associate's Degree. He was a dedicated painter known for his contributions to Rudy's Construction, Baylor Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, and his role as the director of Transformation Station for sober living in Temple.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Mark had a wide range of interests including playing guitar, fishing, golfing, baking, and most importantly spending quality time with his loved ones. He will be remembered for his love for family values and the joy he found in simple pleasures.
Mark leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will forever be treasured by his son, Christopher Carnes and his wife, Chelsea of Belton, and his cherished daughter, Lauren Carnes of Temple. He is survived by his former spouse, Alisa Carnes of Temple, his brother, DeWitt Carnes of New Braunfels, two adored grandsons Carson and Ryker of Belton, along with numerous other family members and friends.
Mark's memorial service will take place at Temple Word of Faith Church located at 518 E. Ave A in Temple on March 2nd, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM. with Pastor Rudy Ochoa officiating. This will be followed by a memorial gathering at Covenant Lutheran Church located at 4202 Hickory Rd in Temple on the same day starting at 2:00 PM food and refreshments will be provided.
Mark Warren Carnes will be deeply missed but always remembered for his unwavering love for family and the joy he brought to those around him.
