Maria DeLaLuz Resendez-Tijerina

Maria DeLaLuz Resendez-Tijerina, 82, of Killeen passed away on Tuesday April 5, 2022 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday April 8, 2022 at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton with Michael Herrera officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 7, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton..

Maria was born in Mexico on March 19, 1940 to Maria Del Carmen Resendez. She married Ruben Tijerina on December 20, 1955 in Mexico and he preceded her in death on May 1, 2019.

Maria was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She loved to cook and work in her garden. 

Survivors are one son, Ruben Tijerina of Reynosa, Mexico; seven daughters, Ma Guadalupe Tijerina, Yolanda Tijerina, DianaTijerina, Maria Tijerina, Faboila Tijerina, Laura Tijerina and Claudia Tijerina; two brothers, Cervando Olvera and Rolando Olvera all of Mexico; three sisters, Antonia Ibarra, Celia Olvera and Carmen Olvera all of Mexico,  36 grandchildren and 48

Maria is preceded by one son,  Abelardo Tijerina and one brother, Ramiro Olvera.

Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery.
