Margarita Gonzales

Margarita Gonzales, 72, of Temple passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at a local nursing home. 

Services for Margarita will be held at 11 AM, on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Academy with Pastor Russell Kurtz officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-6 PM and a rosary from 6-7 PM on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services. 

Margarita was born on October 23, 1948,  she lived  in Karnes City, Texas with her father and mother Liborio and Guadalupe Madrigal Jr .  She worked as a manager at Comet Cleaners until her retirement in 2000. Margarita was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Temple. She loved to spend time & cook for her family and friends as well as baking, camping, and fishing. 

Margarita is survived by her husband, Faustino Gonzales, Sr of Temple; her brothers, Julio Madrigal, Jimmy Madrigal, Nabor Madrigal all of Houston and Butch Madrigal of Kennedy; her four sisters, Ida Moreno of Houston,  Olivia De La Garza of Kennedy, Rita Rivas of Levelland  & Consuelo Madrigal of San Antonio ; her daughter, and spouse Patricia and James Dodd of Temple, three sons & spouses Raymondo & Connie Gonzales of Temple, Faustino  & Angela Gonzales  Jr. of Academy and Martin & Sarah Gonzales of Austin.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Ray & spouse Tiffany ,  Michael & spouse Elizabeth, Celena, AJ, Hannah , Joshua , Haileigh and Austen  and ten great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Liboria & Guadalupe Madrigal Jr and one brother, Martin Martinez.  

Burial will be at North Belton Cemetery of Belton.
