Kay Quicksall

Kay (Scruggs) Quicksall, 76, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024, in her hometown of Temple, Texas. She was born on October 12, 1947, in Dallas, Texas. Kay was a beloved wife, mother, musician, and esteemed member of the community.

Kay's education was a testament to her diverse talents. She graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in accounting and a minor in vocal performance. While her professional career centered around banking and the stock market, her true passion lay in vocal performance as a dramatic mezzo-soprano. Kay's exquisite voice and undeniable talent brought joy to countless audiences throughout her life.

A memorial service in honor of Kay will be held on Saturday February 3, 2024, at the First Methodist Church of Temple. The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. The address for the church is 102 N 2nd St, Temple, TX 76501.

Kay Quicksall leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her loving husband Jud Quicksall II of Temple. She also leaves behind her cherished son and daughter in law Judson and Molly Quicksall III of Fairfax, VA.

In addition to her immediate family, Kay is survived by seven nieces and numerous great-nieces and nephews along with dozens of great-great-nieces and nephews.
