Linda Nell Ratliff

Linda Nell Pierce Ratliff, 78, of Belton stepped through the glorious gates of Heaven and received her angel wings on Sunday, September 5th, 2021.

A visitation for Linda will be held from 5:00P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Jessie Ratliff officiating. Burla will follow at McDowell Cemetery in Belton. Family and friends are welcome to gather following services at the Christian Tabernacle Church Fellowship Hall located at, 1205 S. Walker St. in Belton.

Linda entered our Earthly domain on May 1, 1943, to John Curtis and Valta May Evans Pierce in Salado.  She attended school in Salado and married the love of her life, David Franklin Ratliff on June 25, 1960, and shared the next 51 years with him.  Linda loved to be surrounded by her family and friends, enjoying time outdoors, putting together puzzles, reading and listening to country music.  She was a loving and giving person that helped anyone in any way she could.  She led by example and encouraged her children to be independent and strong.  She worked in the service industry for many years until a stroke stripped her of the ability to work in 1996.  She loved to dote on her children and grandchildren who all loved going to “Momma’s house” or “Grandma’s house”. She is much loved and will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends.

She was met at Heaven’s gates by a host of angels that included her parents, her husband David who gained his angel wings in January of 2011, her son Jack Enman Ratliff who gained his angel wings in November of 2016 and her granddaughter Crystal Marie Wilcoxen who gained her angel wings in April of 2021.

She is survived by her sons, David Lynn Ratliff, Curtis Wayne Ratliff, Leonard Daniel Ratliff, her daughter, Bobbie LaNell Ratliff Wilcoxen (Gary “Will” Wilcoxen), her grandchildren, Jack Franklin Ratliff (Natasha Schuette), Brian Daniel Ratliff, John Curtis Ratliff, Cody Brandon Ratliff (Suzy Guthrie), Carla Renee Ratliff David (Michael David), Frances Nicole Ratliff Meade (Michael Meade), Leland Joseph Wilcoxen and wife, Michelle Unhock, Eric David Wilcoxen and, wife Ashley Cole, and 16 great grandchildren.
