Lina Shelton

Lina Shelton, 81, of Belton entered Heaven on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at a local hospital.

Visitation for Lina will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023,23 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Her funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday February 27, 2023, at Crotty Funeral home with Chaplain H.K Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton.

Lina Shelton was born on August 23, 1941, to Bisente and Paula Serna Gonzales in Nell, TX. She married Billy Larry Shelton on December 31, 1976, in Belton. Lina worked for many years for Superior Chair. She enjoyed playing Bingo, gardening, flowers, cooking, holidays with her family, and spending as much time as possible with them. Lina loved being a “Granny” and her grandchildren meant the world to her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bisente and Paula Serna Gonzales.

Lina is survived by her husband, Billy Larry Shelton; a son, Joe Zapata; her daughters, Corina Maya, April Cole, Lucia Zapata, Rachel Ridgeway, Elizabeth Cramer, Theresa Castillo, Donna Shelton; one brother, Faustino Gonzales; her sisters, Louisa Salas, Virginia Heritage, Udencia Villarreal; twelve grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.

Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
