Lillie ""Carleen"" Alsup

September 5, 1936 — February 11, 2019

Lillie "Carleen" Alsup was born on September 5, 1936 to Carl and Jewel Hardaway in Corsicana. Carleen was always a hard worker. She was a homemaker most of her life, most of that was spent chasing her children. Carleen cut her children's hair and made her children's clothes, sometimes to match which wasn't their favorite. She loved to travel and to drive anywhere. Carleen could talk her way out of any ticket and was scared to charge her phone in the car for fear it would run down the battery. Carleen enjoyed music, drinking coffee, baking, cooking, and sewing. She had a servant's heart and cared for everyone from her sisters to her youngest grandchildren. When she couldn't drive anymore, she would walk long distances to try to take care of her sister and others. Carleen wrote children's books and a Christian romance story. She was strong willed and very spunky. Carleen would tell you what to do and how to do it. Carleen loved her family and they will miss her dearly. Lillie "Carleen" Alsup, 82, of Temple went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 11, 2019. Funeral services for Carleen will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton with Pastor Lloyd Hall officiating.
